Writing Erotica During the Holidays

Only a few family members know of my sideline gig,,,,that of writing erotica.  The rest only know that I do something very odd for a living -make people laugh.  They still don't take me seriously as a comedian. My Aunt always asks, "Are you still doing  your little shows?"  I answer, "Do you mean the little shows in Las Vegas, Auntie?  Yes, I am."

They're not trying to be rude. They don't  understand that someone can not be famous and yet still make a living in the arts.  I've tried to explain it over and over to them that my need to perform is not a stage I am going through.  That I will not give it up one day for a job with benefits.

I would hate to have to also explain why I write erotica.  If I did so, I would have to endure even more holiday conversations.."Leia, are you still writing your little dirty stories?"  "Do you mean the tales of bisexuals and three-ways? Yes Auntie, I am. Thank you for asking, and please pass the turkey."

I like keeping my erotica somewhat private, after being so public with my other career.  Telling dirty stories and weaving tales of fantasy is just something I do for me...and for you.

Here's an early Christmas present.  My short story One Torrid Beginning is currently free on Amazon..

Jim....

I just finished my first short story in my latest series.  This one is "Her Bisexual  Boyfriend." I am planning on doing at least three more bi/3 way short stories, if not more.  I am hoping to have it online for sale at Amazon and B&N sometime within the next few days.  Though I strongly believe that erotica should be based on fantasies, this series is actually a tribute to a former boyfriend of mine.  Yes, he was bisexual and he was fantastic.  After spending the night making love, he would set the alarm to wake  up early.  The reason? He wanted to clean my apartment and make me homemade muffins. I often wonder how different my life would be if I had said yes to his marriage proposal.  I have little interest in ever tying any sort of knot, but Jim would have been a good husband.  Plus, my apartment be cleaner and my cupboards would have contained more than boxes of microwave popcorn.

Hard Name., Hard Sell

A wonderful friend of mine - who is very successful and kind- is helping me to understand selling books online.  In other words,  I need links!  Not only is my pen name hard to say but it's hard to remember. Maybe a link will help everyone find my free short story One Torrid Beginning on Smashwords.com

Of course if you'd like to pay for my erotica - smile - just go to this link on Amazon or Barnes and Nob le and check out my Holiday 4 Pack.  Some of my best work, I think!

BiSexual Fantasies

Home for three days where I don't have to make anyone laugh or deal with perpetually horny male comics. That's both good and bad. But,  I am working on a new three-some short story with two bi-sexual men.  I keep wondering why I am drawn to the bisexual theme, and I've come to realize I've always had a major crush on my hairdresser.  Yes, I know that's a stereotype but he is gay, and very, very  hot. Sizzling in fact.  I just wish he was bisexual.  If he were, I could give him my trim instead of getting one.  Sigh.
